Testing your water on a regular basis is very important for maintaining a safe and reliable source of water for you and your family. Test results help make sure that your water source is being protected from potential contamination like Arsenic. Drinking water with arsenic can cause major health effects including diseases that can affect the cardiovascular system, nervous system, kidney, or lead to cancer. Water filtration expiration varies, but some expire as quick as 6 months which may  cause potential contamination in your drinking water and for your children. Many water test kits only last 12 months therefore, it is important to purchase a new one every year.

Get a FREE TEST KIT with every order of our arsenic or nitrate filter. They are compatible with all water treatment strategies.

We provide you with a free test kit with a purchase of an Arsenic Filter Cartridge. We also sell the more expensive 4" diameter for maximum removal.

Some Contaminates Require A Test.

Arsenic - Drinking water with arsenic over time can cause diabetes, increased risk of cancers of the bladder, lungs, liver, and other organs. Drinking water with arsenic causes arsenic to get into the blood of your children and loved ones and leads to cardiovascular and respiratory disease, reduced intelligence in children, and skin problems, such as lesions, discoloration, and the development of corns.

Calcium - Water with too much calcium and other minerals is called hard water. ECOsmarte systems convert the calcium carbonate into a soluble bicarbonate.

Copper - Drinking water with too much copper cause significant health problems like vomiting, diarrhea, stomach cramps, nausea, liver damage, and kidney disease. People with Wilson’s disease and some infants (babies under one year old) are extra sensitive to copper and should take extra precaution due to the far that their body isn't able to get ride of copper as easily. Copper with levels above .15ppm kills e coli, coliform, salmonella, listeria and the SARS and MERS Coronavirus.

Coliform - Studies indicate that exposure to coliform can be associate with suppression of the immune system, incomplete skull formation and decreased body weight gain. At very high levels (40,000 ppm), chloroform exposure may result in death. Concentrations in the range of 1,500 to 30,000 ppm and lower concentrations (<1,500 ppm) oftentimes results in dizziness, headache, tiredness, and other effects.

Nitrate/Nitrite - Nitrite is a particular health concern because drinking it can cause the hemoglobin in the blood to change to methemoglobin. Methemoglobin reduces how much oxygen can be carried in your blood which results in cells being deprived of sufficient oxygen to function properly. This condition is called methemoglobinemia. Pregnant women must avoid nitrate in their drinking water. We furnish nitrate test kits and encourage you to check your filter life.
